Leading up to my 35th birthday, I will freely admit, I was having trouble. Thirty didn’t bother me. But for some reason, now being halfway through my 30’s was feeling a little daunting. But, as the day is here, I thought it would be fun to list (in no particular order) 35 things I love about my life!!
- Growing up with great influences and always feeling totally loved and cared for
- Laughter, especially until it hurts my tummy
- Discovering the power of the written word
- Being encouraged to write and express myself
- Acting
- Being the Stage Manager (character) in Our Town
- Getting to play Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing
- Reading and getting lost in another world
- Cameron being born on my 12th birthday
- Watching my siblings grow into people that I’m proud to be related to
- My mom
- All the memories of my dad
- Never being treated by a step-kid by either my stepmom or stepdad
- Having a dog – it’s always fun to come home to someone who loves you unconditionally
- Meeting Tim
- Getting engaged
- Getting married
- Travel
- Going to Ireland
- The power of friendships
- Discovering the power in a good group of girlfriends
- Getting to see amazing theatre live
- Growing up in a small town where I never felt unsafe
- Watching summer change to fall
